Prevent fires before they start, keep safety always by your side | Green Energy Technology conducts special fire safety training

To further strengthen fire safety awareness among all staff and enhance employees' emergency response capabilities in the event of sudden fires, Green Energy Technology organized a specialized fire safety training session on July 31. Led personally by Manager Jian, head of the company's administrative department, the training covered real-life case studies, hands-on instruction, and practical demonstrations—delivering substantial, highly effective content throughout.

1. Learning from Cases: Videos Sound the "Alarm Bell"
At the beginning of the training, all participants gathered to watch a fire safety educational video. Through shocking footage of major fire incidents and thought-provoking images of accident scenes, the video vividly presented recent serious and large-scale fire cases in China.

Heart-wrenching scenes and harrowing statistics left every employee present deeply moved and visibly solemn. By reviewing real-life cases, Manager Jian emphasized the principle that "hazards are right around us, and safety lies in the details," sounding a clear alarm for everyone and effectively overcoming complacency in their mindset.

II. On-site Training: Moving the Classroom to the Real World

After the video session, Manager Jian seized the momentum and promptly relocated the "classroom" from the meeting room to an open outdoor area of the company premises.

"Knowing how terrifying fires can be isn't enough—the key is understanding what tools you have at hand and how to use them when a fire breaks out," said Manager Jian, holding a fire extinguisher. From the perspective of administrative inspection practices, he thoroughly explained the structure and working principles of the dry powder fire extinguishers used throughout the company, highlighting three critical points:

1. Check the pressure gauge: The needle must point within the green zone to indicate normal pressure; if it's in red, the extinguisher needs replacement—this is a key item during routine administrative inspections.

2. Remember the four-step technique: Lift, pull, grip, press—lift the extinguisher, pull the safety pin, grip the nozzle, and press the handle.

3. Spray at the base: Aim directly at the base of the flames, sweeping from near to far and side to side, not at the top of the flames as if trying to "put out the sparks."

Manager Jian demonstrated each step clearly and decisively while explaining, emphasizing essential safety precautions such as standing upwind and maintaining a safe distance. This hands-on approach gave everyone a clear, intuitive understanding of how to properly use a fire extinguisher.

III. Hands-on Firefighting Practice: Employees Successfully Pass the "Skill Test"

"As knowledge gained from books is always shallow, true understanding comes only through personal experience." After the theoretical instruction concluded, the training moved on to its highlight—the hands-on firefighting practice session.

In a spacious and safe area, the Administration Department set up a simulated fire source—a fire pit. Encouraged by Manager Jian and under the supervision of on-site safety personnel, employees from various departments enthusiastically signed up and took turns participating:

1. Pull out the safety pin and grip the nozzle;
2. Stand upwind and aim at the base of the flames;
3. Press down firmly on the handle—white dry powder immediately shoots out in a powerful stream.

As waves of white mist rose, the raging flames were quickly extinguished. Many employees who used fire extinguishers for the first time expressed excitement after successfully putting out the fires: "It looks simple, but once you try it, you realize that angle and distance are crucial—today's spray really taught me a thing or two!"

The entire hands-on training proceeded in a tense yet orderly manner, ensuring full participation and mastery by everyone, effectively transforming theoretical knowledge into muscle memory.

IV. Summary and Reinforcement: Building a Robust Safety "Firewall"

After the practical session, the head of the Administration Department delivered a summary and evaluation:

- He commended everyone’s active participation and serious attitude toward learning;
- He reiterated common safety hazards identified during routine inspections (such as daisy-chaining power strips, leaving equipment powered on after work hours, and clutter accumulation in dormitories), urging all departments to review and rectify these issues accordingly.

This fire safety training, led by the Administration Department, adopted a three-step approach—"video warnings to stir emotions, on-site instruction to clarify key points, and hands-on practice to master skills"—truly bringing fire safety knowledge to life and transforming employees from mere observers into skilled practitioners.
